Hi Guys,

I had a win today a project I have been working on and off for about 5 years is now moving forward at

last.

One of the things I had to do was to make some recoils to repair some pulled threads in the

bottom of the roll cage.

Any way here's a pic, I waited for 3 years for this chassis to turn up on E-bay.

Cheers, Dave.

That's a nice project! Took me a good 5 years to restore my BBT and gather all the parts I wanted to use on it. The polishing part is also quite demanding in terms of elbow grease :P Good luck and keep us posted!

Hi Guys,

Asso-man, I have read about your Sprinter many times, I really like the tranny.

I had my first try at dyeing the suspension arms today.

The Andys rears came with the car and were already dyed black but were very faded, the fronts I

replaced because they had not been modified as I would have liked.

I did round the corners of the trailing edge of the arms as per the instruction sheet I found on this

forum.

Cheers, Dave.

Looking pretty good Dave. I probably have a set of like new short Andy's arms if you'd like to keep them the same.

Hi Guys,

I really got stuck into my project this afternoon, I hope you like the pics.

I made some changes to the shocks, I am using white shock ends, black spring cups, white shock

clamps and black shock caps on the gold shock bodies to keep the black/white theme going.

Hi Guys,

I worked on the headers and wheels today, I used some bicarb soda in my sand blaster to clean them

up.

I did leave the headers in the soda blasted finish but spent some time polishing the wheels.

I have run out of parts, I still need a gear cover and a tranny brace.

Okay here's the latest pic, sorry about the poor lighting it's a bit overcast today.

Cheers, Dave.

Hi Guys,

I did some more work on my project today, the camber links with .56 shocks on the rear were

directly below the rear roll cage so the rear shocks could not compress at all.

I drilled the rear bulkhead in two positions 5 mm apart below the worlds position, I also drilled the

truck rear hub carriers in two positions 5 mm apart below the original hole and now the shocks are

able to compress fully.

Here are some pictures of the mods.

Cheers, Dave.

Hi Guys,

Hi Shodog, thank you for taking an interest in my project.

The Team Pit Stop chain drive tranny has cracked and broken on both sides where the mounting bolts

go into the trans, as I don't have any more cases, I did a quick repair by drilling through the cases and

used safety wire to wire them together.

Here's a pic,

Cheers, Dave.

Hi mate.

Great looking project!

I'm in Melbourne...PM me your mailing address and I'll send you a pair of TPS side cases. I collected some TPS bits to build a new transmission, but are a few pieces short (but have doubles of the cases) and would be more than happy to donate the spares to a worthy project like yours.

Cheers,

Steve

Hi Guys,

I am a little bit speechless at the moment, I don't know what to say but,

Thank you, Steve that is very generous of you, and is much appreciated.

I hope one day to return the favor.

Cheers, Dave.
