Honestly, I'm surprised that doesn't happen more often...with easy access to cheap, affordable electronics (though this one seemed to be nitro) and uber-powerful motors, multiple-celled LiPo batteries, anybody with a bit of cash can put together and drive a car capable of performing WAY above their abilities to control and drive it safely.
Completed projects: CYANide Onroad Optima | Zebra Gold Optima | Barney Optima | OptiMutt RWD Mid
Gallery - Coel's Stalls: Marui Galaxy & Shogun Resto-Mods | FrankenBuff AYK Buffalo | 1987 Buick GNX RC12L3

personally I like to read the comment sections after stories like this. Sometimes, ok most of the time the keyboard cowboys get kinda entertaining  . The one that gets to me is someone putting up a user id as "Large Johnson" making statements about 'grown men playing with toys' :P

Had a mate of mine drive his 1/8 twin lipo buggy into another mates shin.
After the car left a jump, made in haste , drunkenly.

A couple of lessons he learnt that day.
1 Dont drink and drive (even RC cars it would seem)
2 having a bunch of drunk blokes make a jump is a bad idea.
3 Its extremely difficult to steer an airborne car.
Lmao
