Just tried the C car on the track. Need some more modification to cope with the modern Brushless motor.
I use these spec:Peakey wrote:Looks good pal what setup do you have in it and how dose it drive
It is all graphite material not dyed.LurkingCAT wrote:Good to se a C car rolling!
Are your chassis parts copied in another material or dyed?
Will take a video when probably setup . I will use this C car to battle with the modern 1/12. You will see !!DerbyDan wrote:Awesome stuff! Would love to see some video of this running... looks ace with the TOJ body (I wonder if this may be contributing to the 'loose' rear end - if you've been used to a modern 1/12" car & shell?)
Can i ask what wheels & tyres you are using, i've often been tempted to get my RC12L up & running again - but with the different wheel fitment I either need to make some adaptors to run modern wheels or mount/glue & true new tyres onto old wheels... which all seems like alot of hassle!

No, the TOJ should work well in my track. Of course the modern shell will give more advantages.
The front wheel is original Schumacher rims with Yokomo donut #3660M3, the rear is GQ tyres Super Soft, in black Yokomo rims and modern Yokomo diff. Super smooth diff. !
Do u have a C car ??LurkingCAT wrote:Good to se a C car rolling!

Tks DerbyDan ! Actually , the SPC car has a bit of "tweak" on the right hand side when accelerating. I had fixed the tweak problem after shooting this video. Since the SPC is 190mm wheelbase, it is really very sensitive in corners. It really surprised me that a 30 years-old runner can perform like a modern car.DerbyDan wrote:Great video camlchris! Car looks to be going quite well - perhaps needing a little more control on rear end 'roll' to help stop it spiining out on acceleration & at high speed... but to be honest I wouldn't have been surprised if you had said that this was a video of a modern 12th car going around!
I don't have a 'C' car - although I do own a Schumacher XL (Lexan chassis car).... It is my old Associated RC12L that I would quite like to get running again!
