Ebay Hacked
So ebay is about to send out a mass message (that they got hacked and almost everybody's personal info and login info were stolen) to change your password.
Its about the same scale as what hit target. Its reported they dont have access to finanical information but if you linked an account to ebay via that 1 click stuff, A password is probably all they need.
you can change your password from the personal information page under account infomration.

Re: Ebay Hacked
I have yet to get an email from then, but it looks like the story is starting to hit news outlets. It seems that the attack took place between late February and early March.
Off to change yet another password....

Re: Ebay Hacked
Apparently everyone is now changing their password... The change password page is unavailable and they ask that you try again later. They also say that no activity can take place on your account until your password is reset. Just FYI.

Re: Ebay Hacked
ebay has been like that for me too. It was like that the other day too so no clue when it will fix itself. They are redoing the interface at moment too.
Re: Ebay Hacked
Sure nice of ebay to make their users aware they needed to update something and not just ground them for a few months if they didnt!

Very true but there was a big flashing billboard on the home page alerting everyone that it needed to be done.shodog wrote:Actually they lock you out of using the site until you update your passwordfastang wrote:Sure nice of ebay to make their users aware they needed to update something and not just ground them for a few months if they didnt!![]()

Re: Ebay Hacked
when we start charging bst fees like the way ebay does, we'll be able to afford a big flashing billboard.

Not a bad idea! That would cut down on all the Kyosho and Traxxas junk people are trying to get rid of lately!
