Re: Kyosho now on the re-re bandwagon - Scorpion
Well, I kept mine really simple, paint-wise...
...which is fine, because it won't stay pristine for long.
This thing is a hoot to drive, if any of you haven't run yours yet. Needs more power (I only put a LeMans Stock 05 in it, basically a silver-can), and maybe a little more spring preload or heavier shock oil, bcause it can bottom out a little too often. Oh, and... the stock rear tires squeal on smooth concrete, just FYI...

Derlin might be a good idea. I remember Marwan had some Repro clips.. They didn't work so well.. Really hard to do without the right tooling

You will be more disappointed in your Associated rere's if you buy a Scorp. Miles better quality

Here's mine:
Yeah, it's almost box art-look. I think it looks quite nice.

Nice Scorpions here.
I drilled my rims to make them Tomahawk style.
I made some exhaust with cutted Tamiya fake shocks.

Nice work with rims. How did you whiten them?

The chrome of these wheels is very very fragile, you can scratch them with finger nails.McPaavola wrote:Nice work with rims. How did you whiten them?
I decided to remove all the chrome with sodium hydroxide (hoven or drain cleaner, carefull, it's very corrosive on skin).

I don't read Japanese but this guy has addressed the notchy rear suspension arm movement by doing some filing and spacing.

Has anyone heard of Jconcepts making premounts for the Scorpion?
I saw this picture on the same Japanese blog but can't find anything on JConcepts site about it
