I have been looking on fleabay but no luck so far? There was a chassis
forsale but no other parts. I would like to buy a complete car as parts look to be hard to find. I hear there is a 1/10 scale sprint car Hart? And it looks very cool also with a one piece front end not a buggy a-arm.

Harper Chassis.

I have one, but not a solid front axle. There are only two of those that I know of. Those are are contemporary and handmade. Beautiful artwork, and fast, too. Jeff has only made a handful, and doesn't take orders for them anymore.

Sometimes you can find them used, but not very often at all, and be prepared to pay a lot when you do find one.

Don't give up, but don't expect something to pop up immediately. There probably weren't 250 Moody American sprint cars made since 1980 and less than 20 Harper Chassis assembled. They are usually coveted and generally will cost a lot to acquire. Moody's are tough finds at this point, but because 1/8th gas sprint cars are still being raced in the Midwest, you could still build a more contemporary car from parts. Check with Roy to see what is still available: http://www.moodyautomotive.com

Jeff Harper builds cars for himself and friends in his spare time, which is always at a premium. They are usually based on a Custom Works GSX chassis and drivetrain, so if that's what you want, it helps to have a GSX Enforcer first to put one of his hand-made cages on. Rarely will you get an opportunity to buy a complete car.

When you do find one, though, be ready to open the wallet...

After reading all the posts refering to the Moody 1/8 scale sprint car then I thought I might post a reply as I have one that's not been ran yet. As a matter of fact it is still partly in parts. I will say one thing it is a very sturdy made car and up to now I wasn't considering the idea of selling but if the right price was quoted I may consider it. Maybe later I will post some pic's of it as it is at this point. :D

These pictures should show you all what is so special about Moody American 1/8 scale sprit car's. Almost all parts are made of metal and the stearing is alot more percise. Even the drive is all metal. Another plus is the whole car is blueprinted which you don't find much anymore. Hope you all enjoy the pictures even if the car isn't finished.
