If it was worth 50 bucks to you, then it was a good buy. Looks like it will be fun with some cleanup.

Just keep in mind that when you win and auction on eBay, you just paid more that anyone else in the world would for that item.

Well not necessarily if you take into consideration those willing to pay a lot more who missed the end of the auction but true to some degree nevertheless.

yeah. I was the first and only bid. Kinda a what the hell, maybe ill get it cheap. Overall im happy i got it. I guess my question of value lands in if i spend a bit of time cleaning her up would any of you be willing to spend 50 bucks for it. or could it go for more? I am totally new to this type of car. I dont even know where to drive it. But i got my rc10t from when i was a kid and that got me going on vintage. ive bought 6 fixer uppers since.

A short Associated shock is needed there. I'm not sure
exactly which length, but one like an RC10 front shock. Nice score. Value is so subjective that you will never get a definitive answer and that's the reason there is a rule against asking. I've paid extremely high prices for things that other people wouldn't give a second look because
to me that particular item is worth whatever I have to pay.

Doesn't use a shock....it uses a ride height adjuster.

I was wrong as usual!

Which model is it? I thought they used a schock. Is it only on the 10L or did it just come later?

The 10L uses a normale RC10 type damper. the RC12 uses a rod with a collar and a spring

Ahh yes... now I remember. You'd think as many as I've seen on here over the years that it would register with me by now.

RC12LW I think was the first to come with a small bore Delta micro center shock. L3 or L4 upped the bore size but no RC12 used a shock as large as the 10L.
Here's the RC12L ride height adjuster:
