THORP BALL DIFF BLACKFOOT,BEETLE AND FROG AND BRAT

I have the dogbone thorp rearend and its missing the nut that holds the diff screw.What size is it ?and the size the nut?
It hast to sit inside the collar that sits on the outdrive then slides into diff hub.Out of all the nuts i have nothn fits into the collar.If does it barely touches the hex walls inside and would surely round the nut first time out.don

I guess either the #12 outdrive is stripped or the wrong screw was in it.All the parts were stuck together so rear was locked solid.But all is minty new.Even found a spare set of dogbones i didnt know were thorp identical to these.Guess i will find a screw that may work i guess.Its the only thing holding me back from getn it a roller.Wish could find some wheel axles to fit that use dogbones .Have some tamiya outdrives that fit that take dogbones but not fit the ball on thorp bones but fit associated and hpi ones are soso.Don

Ahh, so they had a nut inside the #12? The #12 is on eBay from a few different sellers

I thought it was suppose to be a nut in number 2 part the collar.tHE COLLAR WOULD ALLOW YOU TO TIGHTEN THE NUT THEN COLLAR WOULD SLIDE SLIGHTLY TO ALLOW for the threads pushing outward.DON

I got it assembled.It had several springwashers stuck in diff hub and more gunk so that i couldnt see them.Theres only suppose to be 4 of them in the assembly

HI!... Funny you mention this. As I was cleaning through the old hobby shop I found a Thorp Diff for my Blackfoot. Didn't even know I had this or where it came from. lol!

Enuff parts to convert to dogbones if wanted to on ebay right now.The hex axles wore out fast so everyone was converting to bones tears ago.Or just tossed the truck aside,now see them popping up for crazy prices.One was decent but $500.00 used?
The grease in yours,looked like mine but that crap was like super glue getn them apart.Had to soakm for 2 days.don
