Ok, ordered TBG full under trays. I was wondering if vinyl would've done the trick? I'm still wondering if the TBG under tray will keep my worlds tub from getting scratched on the track. Maybe I should line something between the under tray and the tub? In the future I'll have a nice anno blue tub and I really like running my shelvers. Any thoughts?

Dirt will get between the tub and cover but shouldn't be terrible. The heavy protector sheets are cool for dirt but you may have to clean up residue when you pull it off. Everything has it's disadvantages but I like the tub covers.

What about masking tape on the tub and then the TBG tray? Alcohol to remove any masking tape residue?

Blue painters tape should be cool

J concepts chassis protector comes in pck of two sheets, great stuff an unless you bash or have a beat up track they are excellent at the job,an yes alcohol or prep wash cleans chassis up afterwards a treat.. the tbg undertrays are tight fit length wise an could go with having the kick up bend tighter radius but they do fit the buggy tubs an graphite just trim them big an work your way to what you need... Mark holes for screws you want to get at an ream them just enough to get screw thread in hole an tighten down,the velcro trick isn't the best at holding tray down properly... I have the j concepts stuff down first then undertray..

Wow, trippy. I just ordered an Enigma chassis protector as you posted that. Nothing was available from JC so I got the chassis slaps (enigma) sheet.

Under trays trap dirt and are like sand paper.

I swear I searched the thread before making this one. Obviously not good enough or I really need to get tested for ADD.

The search on here is hit or miss. I think mainly due to the fact that words are repeated so many times. I just happened to remember that JK Racing had posted it in there and ran thru the threads he'd started. It seems like a good product.

If I get a chance today, I'll see if this guy still makes these. A lot cheaper than what a guy locally was offering.

I've ordered and payed for mine already. You can also choose the stripe color. Shipping was on the cheap side $1.50 so I'm expecting an email saying send me more money.

IMO they don't cover enough at the rear.. Yeah be ok under an undertray but not by itself IMO, trying to stick a small piece of other products at the rear doesn't work that well as it will keep peeling in that spot,i tried to double up at the rear with my 10 T and it needs replacing regularly. They do look nice however.. I use one sheet of j concepts stuff under undertray or that contact stuff you use to rap books in..

Well I do have a couple of options locally. My cousin has a vinyl shop....well started one up but with a ton of competition locally, we'll see how long it lasts. Sad to say that. His cousin's father in law also had a shop that is one of the biggest threats. Then there is Atomic that had been doing the majority of full size race cars in the area for years (not to mention the RC wraps). So getting scrap vinyl or even getting a one off shouldn't be a problem. There is a rc racer in CNY offering chassis wraps for 20 bucks but honestly for that, I'd like to see more options. The one listed by JK offers one wrap and it's kind of plain in my opinion.

I am almost finished with my RC10T restoration and am looking options as well.


Did I miss who makes the tub protectors?

Teman on this forum makes undertrays, he is local to me in binghamton and i use his trays on my team car and my t2 buggy, they work great. Give him a shout... Also i think i gave you some set up info on fb, i switched to 35 weight in rear with piston 2 and green springs, the car jumps more level and nosed in for me at redneck
