I just picked up a BossCat chassis, but it had no wheels with it. was there anyone that made a hex adapter for the schumacher from back then? I don't remember any companies running hex hubs back then, but I thought I would ask.

I'm going to need to get the upper shock and upper link mounts for the rear also, How hard is it going to be? This is my first schumacher, so the learning curve is going to be steep, I think.

Back then the only wheel adapters I recall were to fit Hotshot wheels or Yokomo wheels on Schumacher chassis. The easy option is to get a set of JC Racing 5 spoke wheels from JC Racing

As for the flat carbon parts, Fibre-lyte make them all http://www.fibre-lyte.co.uk/fl/cars/schumacher/fl_bosscat.html

After looking it over some more, and ruminating the possibilities, I'm torn. I'd really like to fix it up and run it, but maintaining it in a running condition may not be feasible here in the states. I really like the car, but I know if I don't race it at the track, it will sit in the corner and collect dust. I've been a Losi guy for the last 20 some-odd years now, and I'm not sure how hard it is to find parts for schumacher cars here. A quick perusal of Ebay seems that parts a few and far between.

what say you guys, is it feasible to run an older schumy at the track these days?

Looks to be in salvageable condition, not bad.

If You didn´t get side stitch of joy when You got it - then You should trade it of for something else
Bosscat is one of the easier, old Schumacher buggy´s, to find parts for IMO.
Put up a request for parts in the BST -
