Need help identifying shocks.

I was farting around on eBay looking for an rc10t front end when, literally at that moment, my buddy from the LHS calls me up and says a guy just walked in with his son and a bunch of old rc's that were given to them and they were looking at maybe trading stuff for a basher for the kid. He tells me the guy has a Marui Big Bear (bloody mint) and an rc10ce with a yellow chassis, dyed towers and plastics, what he believed to be a T front end, rpm arms and some odd looking shocks but in very decent condition. I asked what the guy wanted for it and he told me $100. Looks like I've got a new runner to work on. It has a six gear in it but, luckily I have an old stealth case and a Thorpe 64p gear set that's been looking for a home. Here's a couple teaser shot before the clean up and tranny swap.

What I would really like to know is what the heck shocks are these.....kyosho? They don't look like any rc10 shocks I've seen.

Kyosho (dual oring) or Duratrax ( one oring). You can tell by taking a look at the bottom area where the seals go, the duratrax have a bevel and the kyosho are more squared off

I'm liking this car more and more. It has captured tie rod ends everywhere as well. :)

No. Was only put in to check the battery holder as it looked warped. The body is hilarious but I might just keep it. It has a student driver sticker on the back.

What I like most is that the body literally screams "HIGH VOLTAGE! KEEP OUT!" and then whenever the car flips over the audience is requested to CALL 911... (especially with that shocking yellow)

You should keep it.

I could be wrong and most often I am , but I'm thinking those shocks are duratrax . The shock caps themselves should have a flat on them , from what I can tell by the pictures yours don't . Maybe post a clear close up ?

That car is totally rad, I wouldn't change anything about the way it looks. 8)
