worlds chassis fade

Why do I notice worlds car chassis tend to change colour over time, and not standard black chassis. Anyone have any info?

Would it be a bad idea to keep the car in a large Zip-lock.

Could be UV that is lightening the anodizing dye. Could be a solvent that is leaching out the color or something like peroxide. I would investigate a good industrial black dye maybe you can get a sample and dye it and seal it.

Well mine isn't that bad, maybe a little on the purple side, but want to take preservation measures to keep any further colour change.
