Camaro Project

Some of you may be familiar with KingCobra's old RC10 z28 Camaro. Well he sold it to member on scale 4x4 then that member sold it to another member who then built a tube chassis for the body. So I asked him if he would sell me the original chassis to the car. He did, and I found a model on ebay, sent it out to get painted black at my stepdads friends auto body shop and I am now collecting parts.
I am looking into the possibility of having custom made IROC wheels made for it, but in the mean time I have these wheels from a Kyosho super ten
I also really like the wheels from the RC10n Dual Sport, but I am not sure of their size, does anyone know what size they are?
I also found these wheels on ebay, but forgot to bid

Does anyone know who made these and what there size would be? I think it might look cool to have to some wider tires in the back and some skinnies up front.
I ordered a laundry list of parts from tower over the weekend, as the chassis was robbed of alot of the rc10 parts. The only thing tower did not seem to have was the front arms in the black, does anyone know where I can find stock from arms in black other then finding some used on ebay?
Im sure I will have more questions as I get further along in his project. Thanks for the help
-Mike

If you want 2WD wdie rears skinny fronts white 5 spoke, HPI did ones that fit the Kyosho Lazer buggy, would do the trick,

I have the ones you are using in full chrome as well

I saw those, but I dont think I can use longer ones as it will push the wheels out past the flares, they need to be the stock length. I may just end up having to dye mine black.

Those look a lot bigger, maybe to a newer rc10 model? Not sure, I am new to these as well.
Here is a couple body off shots
I have black rear arms, and bearing carriers, and I ordered black bulk head? I guess its called for up front. I also got a trans from a holmes hobbies, and ordered a black case for it.

Here is what I am basing it off of

my moms old IROC, this was an 87 IROC Z28.
I know this body isnt an IROC (front end is different) but I am hoping to get the correct model soon

dualsport wheels are 1.65" dia. only the ds kit tires fit them as far as i know. i sold mine but if i remeber the widths are about 1.25" front and 1.5" rear. or close to that. they are very nice with the black hub inserts in the wheel.

Is that an older lazer? will the HPI fit on the zx5 lazer if so what's the part number. My LHS can only get me the stock rims and I don't like them.

that's a Lazer ZX well two of them, and I will have to dig out the rims for part nos, but they were stock HPI ones at the time a lot of people used them for TC conversions or just with buggy tyres

The HPI Super Stars for buggies have long since been discontinued but appear regularly on ebay. They still make a variation of the rears as wheels for their Super Nitro RS4 tourers, as well as a multispoke design
http://www.hpiracing.com/wheels/super.php For the fronts you will have to cut the inner rims off a pair of rears to narrow them.
Alternatively as the ZX5 uses standard 12mm hexes there is a huge selection of wheels from Kyosho (such as Inferno TR15 wheels), Tamiya, Traxxas and Academy that will fit straight on.

When I got the chassis, it was robbed of most of its parts so I dont have a complete shot yet of it, my parts from tower should be here by friday, then I can get it rolling.
Here is poser roller picture before I had the body painted
