I have never rebuilt any of the earlier bottom load shocks so I was wondering if the same shock rebuild kit for the later lop load shocks will work with them.

The traxxas rebuild kit is a better fit, except I would stick with associated orings. The traxxas come with the correct spacers and circlips. Discard the diaphragms and orings.
Traxxas 2362 rebuild kit
Associated 5407 orings
Associated 6469 shock cap orings
(Or just buy the associated rebuild 6440 and just use the rings with the traxxas plastics)

I did as you said and it worked great, no more leaky shocks.
Thank you for the quick replies too

Nice! It costs a little more buying two kits...but makes it so much easier!
