This was part of my most recent purchase. It was very dirty but after a quick cleaning it looks pretty decent. Would have hated to see this lead a bashed life in such good condition.I really don't like the 3pc wheels but its all I had to stick on there for now. The wheels that came with it were pretty bad. Anyways onto the pictures.

I scored one in similar condition for a friend, can't understand the condition of these trucks. His, like yours, had just a few scratches on the bottom.

To me, there are two types of kit: Shelf queen and runner. I have only one of the former, and the rest, though I take good care of them, show clear signs of being enjoyed.

It's like some people assemble the kit, run it a couple of times, then put it up on a shelf to collect dust. That's good for us, but I just don't get it.

They buy them thinkin they know what their doing.Then cant start it a few times then trade or sell it off .Theres a kyosho vanning think its called,sitn at hobby store in Wilson with only starter wheel marks on it they returned it.Says hes gonna ebay it but bet he hasnt.don

Some kits are run a few times and then tossed to the side either because the person is not patient and doesnt understand or because they crash the kit on the first few runs and then toss it to the side. Thats how i scored mine

Nice polish on the stock pipes; i know that took some elbow grease!

I would place some clear fuel tubing around the piano wire that secures the pipe to keep it from scratching the pipe's nice finish.

Otherwise you got a winner there.

Thanks guys. On the pipe all it took was a green SOS pad. I didn't really try to polish it just took off the old gunk. As for the exhaust hanger. I don't know why but I can't stand the look of fuel tubing over the hanger. Can't do it

Thats funny ...everytime i see an exhaust hangar all bare i cringe and get that feeling of nails on a chalkboard.

These are the raw aluminum header and pipe for the DS...lots of elbow grease, soft grit sand paper, and blue scotch brite.

Yeah those look much better than mine. I didn't strive for the uniform smooth finish. Just less ugly.

Looks great, it's amazing how good some of these cars/trucks clean up with a bit of elbow grease.

*Sigh* - One day I'll get one of these white GT's, it's the only thing I'm missing in my offroad lineup.

I agree....you can get a rem gem of a car/truck lurking under a layer of fuel residue, grime, and dirt. Unfortunately im going to need another tub of elbow grease, to continue with my projects:lol:

Hey, that white GT can rear its head anytime....you have to keep hope alive!!!
