This is another M-05 based project I finished. The M-05 front section is a great platform for custom projects. I sectioned a Tamiya Unimog body, cut on a band saw, and made the rear aluminum plate. The bed tilts though a worm drive system. Some details: M-05 front section, 3Racing suspension pieces, 55T crawler motor, Tekin esc, 2S lipo, rc4wd tires. The esc controls the front wheel drive and the tilt bed. I use the 3rd channel to toggle between the front wheel drive & tilt bed. The tilt bed is controlled through a Battle switch/d/p,d/t relay.
The Team Blue bus body sits on the Miniclod rear section chassis. Twin 800kv motors, 4 wheel drive. Steers like a tank, which is why the body can sit so low on the chassis.

That's really awesome!

Any pics on how you made the back end mechanically tip down by remote?

I bought the worm drive & gear drive motor on ebay. The cross shaft is 6mm and rides on 4 - 6mm bearings in bearing mounts on the bottom of the ramps. 4 - 4mm bearings support the wheel mounts.

ok, the video helped explain the pic a lot. The front part of the fender rides on the pin which is in a slotted journal allowing the wheel/fender to roll forward, dropping the flat bed down. That's awesome!

Watching your video, I don't think your cat was as impressed as I am though!

Cool idea and very well executed.
The cat in the van is a bit of a show-off - former carousel manager, I bet.

Very cool hauler. Love the way the bed drops down. How is that very van turning? It it set up like a tank?

Yes, I run the chassis with and without tracks. A link to the tracked version http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=32298&start=15
