jrx2,t pro, se, junior2,t lxt. builds

Post by alien3t »

Well last year i scored 2 jrxt's on craigslist out of state and a junior t, a t2 and a graphite stealth i think 210 spent on all cars shipped, (but associated build in associated forum.) after i got the jrxt and posted pics, gomachv messaged me and asked if i wanted parts. said sure. and well i wont disclose the amount, what he sold me at a rather awesome price, and i know if i was a jerk i could triple my money easy on ebay. But well im not, id rather spend it building runners. yes runners. i plan to have all these be driven. I am not one for 100% restore nothing is 100% new most stuff used, but new parts here and there will be in the builds . I don't build to sell or resale value, I don't care about the next person. i care about my fun. well here are pics and descriptions

Image

Image
on the right was my first jrxt, needed a hingepin and the scarce rear shock lowers. got them. but the truck on left was a jrxt but as some find, the chassis had a grinder to it to make the servo stay with a ziptie, so i started to transfer it all to one fo the many chassis in the parts bundle, but things will change, That jrxt came with the junior t in the middle, the junior has come with the retro xx trans and hydra slipper, which i plan to put on the jrxt.

the parts haul that gomachv was more then generous to sell me. i do feel lucky, but my wallet will not.

here is where i think im starting, weill have ot sit and itemize everything to what i need, (ie i just won a set ofo 5 link rear lower shock mounts and some other parts on ebay for 11.50 shipped over weekend. to ad to the pile.

Image
the lxt and se chassis int he pics are not right just junior ones for placement, and i read instructions a jrx pro has the same part number for chassis as jrx2,t a-4000 so that shouldnt be to bad now. but this pic gets you an idea where im going ot starts.

goal is some cars will have newer shocks, ie im thinking same size xxx shocks on pro and jrxt, slippers on those cars, most likely lunsford titanium, possible i will drill 2 holes and add servo mounts since i plan to run cars, I am a speed passion fan, (in my b44.2 sc10.2 and xx4) so most of these i will run the stock or s reventon esc's with 13.5 or 17.5 and if you think im worried about resto quality and having fun
my full size project that well will never see stock again
Image

so i belive in having fun with my toys, no i wont bash them in fields, they will be used on track, i prefer to play on tracks then in front of my house or something, ill use cheap cars, (or a nitro rustler build i have) for that kind of stuff. As for extra parts, i don't plan to sell, if i was id only be here and not ebay, and not thief prices, (retail at most) but i would rather eventually trade parts for parts. no cash.

ah browsing craigslist, complete xxt extra set of wheels, some extra parts, hydradrive, $65 shipped. but at least an comlete car says its missing nuts for upper shock mounts and a drive pin. but for 65 worth it for trans, and front bulkhead.

Those turnbuckles look like those made by Tecnacraft from a few years back. NIP sets do pop up on eBay from time to time but you really don't see them that often so it's nice to have a set. Also, they were designed to be rotated with an Allen key whereas most other turnbuckles require a small wrench.

Definitely look like Technacraft.

I always liked my little Lunsford Punisher wrench :)
I miss brushed motors in that hazy, everything seemed better when I was a kid, kind of way.
