Bad lighting in the photo. If it had any kind of coating it would have called it out somewhere.

A good rule of thumb when placing a screw order is to never call Sloppy Seconds... just sayin'... :?

almost half the price, fastenal is usually pricey to me per screw. but i do know they have shops around to make it easy.

It says plain finish. That means no coatings. Just silver colored. I get almost all my hardware from McMaster Carr.

I wanted to use mcmaster carr for my order but a few of their screws just had insane prices. It like 10 screws for like $3-$4 so I passed on them.

might have saved a few bucks at bolt depot or mcmaster but fastenal just has stores everywhere so its a slight benefit to have if they screw up my order.

no sweat. most standard hardware is really cheap, if you found something that was higher in priced it's most likely a more specialty item, at least from what I've found.

That's exactly what I thought, too. It's not actually green, just the way the picture was taken made it appear to be green. Stainless steel is polishable so I don't see how it could have any kind of coating.
