I have a houge trailing arm car and was wondering what bodys fit these things because i have yet to find a body that the sides of the chassis dont stick out in the front... Bodys i have tried and do not work... Protech, Protech 2, Viper, and one other unknown body i had that came with a car i got somewhere along the way... Anyone have any idea if there is even a body made anymore that will fit the houge car? Thanks dj

I don't know the houge chassis tbh - but the TRX1 body is the widest I know, expecially in the front. You might want to try one once you've dried up the Rc10 official body pool?

Andy's Renegade and Heathen bodies if you can find them. You can also try the Protech IV Yokomo body or the Parma Unser Buggy body.
Or you can go for a scale truck look and try something like a McAllister Toyota pick-up.

So what you are saying is i have 2 options... Option A. Bolt a gold pan to it and cut the chassis down to use the avaliable rc10 bodys or B. Build a midwest dirt modified out of it... Lol i dont get why they made that chassis like that anyway... Were they even any good for offroad?

On the track conditions of the time they were pretty good. On modern blue groove, they tend to oversteer a lot.
There were a lot of people that cut down the chassis as you suggested but that takes out some of the rigidness at the front....which is why the chassis was made that way.
You can buy repros of the Protech IV and Parma bodies, but a dirt oval isn't a bad idea. You could also do a baja bug or a rally car.

Hmm i guess if they oversteer alot on bluegroove tracks it dont sound luke it would make a very good car to run dirt oval with i however i probly wouldnt run it anyway and it would make a neat convo piece to bring to the track lol...
I dont particularly like the protech iv or the parma body looks wise so i guess if i build the car dirt oval it is...

Here is mine with a TBG Mears body, as you can see the chassis hangs out a bit on this one too

Too bad 1:10 dirt oval isn't more like 1:1 dirt oval.
