7700KV is roughly equivalent to 5.5T motor. you can use it but at your own risk, personally , I have tried 8.5T 2 pole motor (Tekin Gen1 motor) and its well suited for my liking, maybe too much for others but with an 8.5T it generates much wheel spin as it is, what more a 5.5T. with lower turn ( high KV) you are risking the life of your Tranny and your slipper. and if im not wrong. 7700KV is best suited for 1S ( based from what ive read from RCtech) but it can be used in a 2s application (as stated in the page) . But the question is, will it be driveable. 4 pole is best suited for SCT or 4WD application, for 2WD much more our pricey stealth, for me it would be too much...may be you can try a lower KV(4950-5350, 9.5T-8.5T).

I would stick to something in the 3,000-4,000 KV (13T-9T)range. You simple cannot gear your buggy low enough to run a 7,700 in a way that will be useful, and high KV motors with tall gearing cook ESCs. Put it this way; I have a 3,500KV 4 pole 550 motor in my Warthog buggy (desert buggy on an RC10GT chassis), which is geared 24/52 on the pinion/spur, with the 2.65:1 GT stealth ratio, and running 4.5" OD tires on the rear. Not a super steep ratio, but I have cooked a 70 and 80 amp 1/10 ESC trying to push that. I now run 1/8 scale 120-150A ESCs in this type of application.
You'd be in the same boat with that 7,700; in a 4 lb buggy on 2S, you'd probably need at least a 90A ESC. To run 3S, 120A+

I have one in my B44 and let me tell you - even with 4WD, that motor is a beast to drive. I also had to put a fan on it as it to keep it cool too. I personally think it could be done, but would be next to undriveable. Just my opinion!
