New build Kyosho Triumph.

I've had this kit sitting on the shelf for a long time now. Finally had some spare time to get her built. I plan on using a Kyosho SCR saddle pack and what I believe to be the motor that is pictured in the box art, a LeMans High Speed Modified motor, red aluminum end bell. Tekin electronics. Should be an interesting build!

The only thing I really don't care for on this buggy is the supplied decals. The look of the box art buggy looks awfully easter eggy to me. Gonna have to change it up a little.

I agree about the stickers, they look like an afterthought. The body has nice and interesting lines, though...you could design a nice paint-job for it. Yellow & pink stickers? Sounds like Kyosho wanted it to look like a Losi. :P

Hey! I got one of those N.I.B too

Do you have the version with FRP shock towers or plastic/kelron style?

I know there were 2 versions of the molded graphite towers I didn't realize that there was an FRP version.

Great car. Probably the only 2wd competition buggy I ever liked. Another one I kinda regret selling years ago.....Currently trying to scrap one together! But, mine will use the super sprint tranny. Suspension on triumph seemed to work alot better than lazer zxr. Really a good design from Kyosho! Makes me wonder why it wasnt a raging success?

Nice project, I've been thinking about adding one of these to my collection

Someone mentioned two versions of the moulded shock towers, how do they differ?
What other differences or running changes are there for the model life of the Triumph?

I think there are some differences also with the axles. Some kits have universals while some have dogbones. My NIB Triumph had dogbones. (I dislike autocorrect)

Cool. I have never seen a manual with universals, yet.

Kyosho USA still carries the universal's for the Optima/Optima Mid Series and older Ultima series as well. Not sure if the Triumph uses these are the longer W5063 version 3mm longer.
