This is a mega-thread for general discussion of all the Nikko products made.
I will start the discussion with a question. TamiyaDan referenced a Nikko car which competed in the 89 Worlds and placed 50th. I am sure we all have the same response...Nikko at the Worlds
TamiyaDan give us some more info on this mysterious Nikko car cause I am certain many of us would like to hear the story and see pics of this car.

Cool thread. For someone still learning other brands it tells them they had one, didn't know what it was and ebayed it.

Yep, that's experience talkin. I had a version of the brat buggy. Might still have pix of it around in my 'sold' section of my photobucket. Likin the history.
Thanx
Todd

I had a vague recollection that Nikko produced a more 'hobby grade' series of buggies & it was only whilst chatting to a guy I was racing with on Saturday that he mentioned about a Nikko car that he raced - His one came RTR which would seem to run true for a Dandy or Sprint perhaps?

Nikko upworks compepetion car and parts hard to find now. I never ran the upworks motor, they looked good I think may be made by kyosho?they made the cars close to tamiya, packed、box art、design. in fact,I love nikko upworks series. upworks product kit 1 & 2 ever sold in hongkong, few years ago some stock cars appear on the market, luckly I found the nib brat kit to my collections

Here is a question for tamiyadan. I have some batteries that have Nikko on the label. Did Nikko have a battery line for their race cars also?

I love nikko upworks tire just like the brat including, the tire look sharp, they are low profile and very good quality. I ever have a box of them, they are 2.2" so fit all moden wheels.

In the issue from november 1989 from the magazine Super Machine, there is a color picture (number 15) of this Nikko Brat I think.

It appears there were both 2wd and 4wd versions. Probably a "duh", but that's what I learned today.
P.S., TamiyaDan says, ".... ... ...... .. ... '.. ...... .. ..., .... ... ...... .. ... '.. ....... .... ... ..... ...., ........... ..... .. ......... .......... . ... ..... ............".
