I like your picture quality! I also like that you are using vintage electronics, they look at home there!

How smooth/free rolling was the tranny? In all the builds here, not one mention of the tranny! :|

Mine had the RCCA tranny make-over and it spins quite allot better than my friends with bushings
I guess it will free up a bit when we finally drive it

HI!... I did a full ball bearing upgrade on the car when I built it. The trans is very smooth.

I don't think so, I see that odd crimp in every picture in exactly the same place...top AND bottom. It doesn't even look like a straight edge in the close-up bottom picture. Is this how all the re-re pans look? :shock: (Click to see the images at proper size.)

The die that's used when making the chassis goes all the way out to the end of the bulkhead mount
and after that the extra material is removed

Were they also like that back in the 80's? I don't seem to recall ever seeing gold pans with that kind of deformation...on here or eBay or otherwise. Maybe I haven't been looking close enough. :?
