4-10 Legend versions

Post by Erich Reichert »

More specifically... what are the differences in the belt versions. I've managed to collect a bunch of different ones and wondering which are more rare or whatever. Here's what i have:

-White transmission
- Black transmission
-front one way diff
- front gear diff
- rear with locked pulley
- rear with slipper (black adjustment nut)
- White front knuckels and hubs
- Black front knuckles and hubs
- Alum pulleys with "side walls"
- Alum pulleyswith edges of teeth raised (these also come wiht some sort of fiberglass bar in the bag)

Both of my 4wd kits were pieced together from NIB parts.
here is one on my graphite http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=6906&id=34
here is my still in the bags kit http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=23780&id=34

They appear to go together because numbers on the various instruction sheets match.

I have seen quite a few legend kits but not very many kits that look like mine.

ya those are the "toothed" pulleys i mean in your first link. I have those as well as ones that the "teeth" are a solid wall. The other thing i was wondering about was in the NIB parts shot that SP-45 Belt assembly bag... what is the fiberglass brace for? Thanks man!

I don't know the proper name for it but it is the centerlink that goes between the two steering arms. you can see it in this pic http://www.tamiyaclub.com/pictureframe.asp?t=n&id=img34_2202003110804_4.jpg

Erich, you can't dispose those trash parts like a can of Coke, old grease is not eco-friendly, I've done it before, so please send them to me, I'll sort it out for you, free of charge
