On/Off switch replacement for Novak Explorer

Post by unclemikey1978 »

I have a used Novak Explorer esc that is missing it's on/off switch and the white wire that goes to the receiver has been cut. Is it possible to replace both the white wire and the switch on this esc? If so, will a newer Novak switched work? Can I just solder a piece of wire onto the receiver lead? Thanks in advance for your replies.

Yup just solder away a new switch will work fine just be carefull when soldering to the board use a nice hot iron and select your tip carefully nice and small so you dont spread heat to parts you dont want to

this might help http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=78&t=28465

i would recomend a 25-30 watt pencil tip iron, fine solder, solder wick or vacume .. if your good at soldering you should be fine .. if not just take it to an elecrtonics repair shop and let them do it
