Have any of you recently shipped a 10the scale buggy from the US to Canada?
If so can you give me your shipping cost? I need a really really rough idea on how much it will cost to ship a JRX Pro up that way. Thanks!

I have shipped a few items up there and the thing that saves a ton of money is when the size of the box under 36" width height and depth, and under 4 pounds. Should be around $28 or less based on 4 pounds

Yeah, what Jeff said...if it's a whole chassis, chances are it would fit the box requirements but it'll most likely weigh much more than 4 pounds, and shipping cost could be pretty expensive (you'll be forced to ship Priority Post instead of First Class Mail). If you know the exact length, width & height, and weight, you can find out the exact shipping cost right from the USPS website's Price Calculator:

maybe post an add in the wanted section and there might be someone in canada that will sell one .. i know ive been thinking of selling/trading my jrxt for a rc10t and dont want to cross the border

ive looked at it and its been from 25-40 to ship and keep an eye out for duty after .. but i guy from ups said to have it shipped piority and they pay the duty if there is any

tryed to sell of an integra type r wing to someone in the us for 120 and the shipping was 245 lololololol .. he didnt take it

And here's a warning to Canadians buying from Americans on eBay: There's a new "Import charges" fee that appears in many auctions. This can be outright fraudulent. The reason it appears is to charge you customs & duty fees, because presumably most products in USA aren't MADE in USA...they're most likely Asian-made products previously imported to USA. So when a Canadian buys an item like this, he has to pay the so-called "import charges". So let's rewind a tad here and examine this closer--as I won an auction that these "import charges" appeared on, asking me to pay a little more than 10% over and above the listed winning bid price & shipping.

The thing is, the item I purchased, 4 interior door panels for my '70 Charger, was:

1) Old;
2) Used;
3) Made in AMERICA.

So why the fu*k am I being charged these BS "import charges"?! I had to learn more and called Canada Customs. They confirmed to me that items manufactured anywhere in Canada, USA or Mexico are EXEMPT from any Customs/Duty charges! So much for NAFTA, eh?

The money for these "import charges" goes right to Pitney-Bowes (do some research on this, it's quite an interesting scam, to be honest), who take all this money for basically doing nothing. If you had the items shipped with FedEx or DHL or UPS, THEY charge you duties & brokerage fees, so why the hell are eBay & Pitney-Bowes ALSO taking this money??!

And the icing on top of the cake: Why is it that Americans don't get this little rape-in-the-a$$ when they purchase similar items from Canadian eBayers??

As you can tell, this issue has me worked up and really pisses me off. So Canadians, beware of this bullsh!t add-on charge if the items you're buying on eBay are North American-made products. It's a cash-grab and in that instance, a total scam.

Exactly, it's not the seller's fault, fingers pointed mostly at eBay & their new GSP and Pitney-Bowes. However, I do believe sellers have the ability to enable or disable this GSP option when they create their auctions, but I can't be certain; I'm not an American seller so I don't know what extra steps you might get when creating your auctions...but if the item's origin of manufacture is anywhere on this lovely continent of ours, there should be no extra charges, period.

I was able to opt in to that shipping program and I didn't. They don't tell you the bad stuff as a seller and unless someone informs the sellers they won't know about the other charges and re packing of merchandise by PB

It can be turned off, I always ask sellers to do this, and they sometimes do. But it is funny, when ( at least in my case ) it goes through PB, that pack is said to be opened and inspected, then repacked, well a few pack that I've gotten, including today, they just simply put the seller's pack into a larger pack , other time's, yes my pack has been opened I just do not like the idea of someone, who probably could care less of my RC parts, handling my stuff, the putting it into anther pack, then ask for some $$$$

Getting back to the subject, when you get a part sent thru that global ship deal, does it take a lot longer? Shipping to and from Canada for me is usually pretty fast, except priority mail was very slow.
