Just stumbled upon a nice looking LIPO conversion kit for the XX4.
People have been running LIPOs in the XX4 for an age,but this looks like a nice kit.
There's some 22ish suspension parts,a nice front brace in there and some alloy pulleys,too-is this made by TLR,or someone else?

Parting with XX4 is a bad idea, when I sold my 1st one,I felt like less of a man.
Incomplete. :?
Every house should have one!

Does that kit look like a TLR kit to you?

Not sure what you would be gaining? lipo conversion? I run Lipo's in mine without a conversion. Not being a smarta$$ just wondering what Im missing

Read the auction description, which poorly translated, of course.

Seems to add reinforcement to the front and rear skid areas.

New towers so you can use 22 shocks. Actually on inspection it looks like tower braces.

New rear toe blocks.

New gears and belt for the side belt transmission.

Carbon fiber hold downs for the saddle pack lipos.

That's what happens when I reply to the forums using my iPad from a B&B in the Poconos.

Still thinking I may bite the bullet on it, just so it can get properly documented for everyone else here. Unless someone else wants to ;)

It's doubt it's a tlr piece if kit, the front arms are Schumacher (p/n schu3407) they're beefier than the stock ones, have more flex, and retain the stock geometry however to fit them you have to fit thicker hinge pins that fit the Schumacher holes. It looks like the kit is more ment to strengthen some weak points for modern brushless/lipo. Almost everything in the kit you can purchase separately (you can retrofit b44 saddle pack holders, penguin rc makes cf front and rear shock tower supports etc) except for the aluminum chassis reinforcements I haven't seen those before but they would be nice if you run the trinity aluminum bulkhead (when you run that instead if the nylon bulkhead the chassis is more likely to crack). Nice piece if kit there, someone needs to purchase one and let us know how it goes

Here's a link on how to fit the Schumacher arms, or 22 arms if anyone is interested. It's under tips and tricks a ton of good info on this website!
