RC10Talk is the only forum I use. I love it, I have made a few friends here, and feel that I know some of you. I see avatar's, and I know who you are right away, and can even predict what some responses will be from other members

. I have only been here a few months, but feel like its been years. But... I also have a love for working on cars/trucks, and have been doing so for over 25 years. I did join a chev truck forum a few years ago, but never made any posts, had forgot all about it till my birthday in April, when they wished me a happy birthday, so I checked it out, and found "who here is from Canada" thread. I responded, today I received replied, I looked into it a found it very alien

I, for some reason just have no interest to get involved, and don't know why. Maybe its the time, energy, who knows, but I did have the strange felling like I was cheating

Why am I telling you guys this

Who knows........where's Thumbs with my beer

I'm a member of a few different forums, I think it really helps one to share knowledge & techniques across different forum subjects. Back in the early 2000's, I was heavily into hardcore computer modding, and a lot of the stuff I learned was from there, and later shared in different ways on other forums I participated in. I was on a drum forum for several years, tried polishing and other resto techniques I learned from modding computers to vintage drums...joined a 1970 Charger forum, I'm dormant there for much of the winter months but get active in the summer months, and a lot of the tricks I learned from modding could be applied to restoring various components of my car. Then I joined RC10talk and the cross-pollination and sharing of each others' tips & tricks just continues.
I'm also on a Buick GN/T-Type forum but not active there at all. Of course, there are not many members there, as very few of those cars were made. So sometimes it's like a dead-zone. Active forums are much more fun, to watch as well as share.

Yellowbullet is the only other forum I visit, but I don't post. I don't have the flame retardant undies for it.

I go to URC from time to time only because I am a fan of ECX/Electrix RC vehicles...They have the biggest following for these low budget rides and I have made a ton of changes to my circuit...Last time I went to the hobby shop the guy didn't believe me that it was a circuit lol...But I like the vintage stuff the best because the 80's was my era...I have never had any problems with anyone on here and I have learned a lot from all the guys who stuck with RC racing over the yrs...

This is one of three forums I consistently visit. I probably have accounts at over 20 other forums but I couldn't tell you the last time I logged into those.

You two timing rat bastard!

You're . . . You're . . . seeing other forums?
Hey, it's all about the friends and camaraderie. Places like RC10Talk and Clodtalk are friendly and homey, nobody takes themselves too seriously, so fun is had by all. What better place to call home?

I agree, I have been a member of Clodtalk much longer than here. I do check in there once in awhile, but I have shelved the Clod months back and have taken to the vintage side of what we do.
I have used Losi forums, When I bought the Ten-T new. Just for info and such, You will see that Halgar is dead on here.
There are no better friends I have made online in any other forum I have joined, ClodTalk and RC10Talk are the cream of the crop. Do not feel like you are cheating.

I'm on a few different RC forums, the evil RCTECH, RCSHORTCOURSE, RCTEN and some others I dont remember. Here and RCTECH are where I frequent the most. Here for all things vintage and cool, RCTECH for the modern stuff and to sit back and watch all the infighting.

All that crap is so tiring, especially from the Admin/Moderator side, which is why we simply don't allow it at Clodtalk. Not sure how it's handled here, but I suspect that it doesn't happen often here either.
