Truth is, I already know what it is, but what I don't know is how obscure it is...if at all. So basically, this is a test. ;)

EDIT - LTO_Dave scores the ID. :)

Changed the wrong letter. :x

Besides the chassis the parts on it so far are:

- Niftech aluminum left bulkhead.
- T&A Ti rear axle.
- HPI rear hubs. (not the really good kind...they're off an RS10/Super F1)
- Calandra Racing delrin upper front arms.
- Hyperdrive brass pivot balls in the front suspension and t-bar.

I have a new unpainted Associated T-Bird body for it as well.

Bingo...nice dig!

Here's one of the TM R/C ads for the car that can be found in some 1994 issues of RCCA:

Got the chassis off eBay a couple of months ago. The parts were advertised as new, and look it, but the kit wasn't in a package and there's one or two parts missing....most noticeably the rear cross brace that the lateral shock mounts to.

Front suspension pieces, t-bar, pivot balls, and lower pod plate are all NIP pieces I picked up here and there. Rest of the parts are nice used pieces I picked up in lots over time.

BTW, this is the fiberglass kit.

Heh, just noticed something while looking at the TM Racing ad I posted above.....a little while back I asked if a Cheetah lower plate could be used with a 10LSS upper, thinking it would be a cool piece to add to this build. Seems I wasn't alone in that thought, since the ST-10 in the TM R/C ad is built using a Cheetah Lower pod. You can see the white pivot sockets that the Cheetah t-bar attaches to, just under the rear cross brace. :o

No real updates on the project, but was playing around with it today a little and come to the conclusion that I'm going to need to find a different body for it. The ST-10 is 200mm wide in the front with AE wheels, (wider than a 10LSS but narrower than a 10L) and doesn't really fit well under the Associated Thunderbird body I got for it. It's even a little wider if I use Pro-line fronts for rubber tires.

Tried out different wheel and hub combos and my choices look like I can do 200mm wide front and back with foams, or 205mm/210mm front and back with rubber tires. (uses a 10L diff hub and a long left wheel hub).

So what I'd be looking for is a body that's 8 to 8 1/2" at the front and rear wheel wells. McAllister I know produces a modern one that works but I'd prefer a period correct body. (early to mid '90s). Any other suggestions?

Also speaking of dates, does anyone know what approximate model year the ASC6120 Thunderbird body is supposed to be?

i have an mrp '88 olds cutlass that is 8 1/4" up front, about 8 1/2" out back. the body style pretty much stayed the same through 91-92 though.

Hmm. I'll keep that in mind. Going to try and narrow up the front first with different wheels. Got it down to ~195mm with Custom Works wheels but don't like how they look with the Pro-Line dish rears.
