I'm back with an RC10 again

Post by markt311 »

I haven't been on this site in probably 2 years, anywho I just received my next project in the mail yesterday. The best part of this one? /straight and clean motor plate, relatively clean chassis A stamp with no extra holes and very few scratches, Andy's arms. The bad, it smells like someone used this for an ashtray :?

I plan on building it into a runner with hex wheels all around, basically an oin or whatever the kids are calling it these days. If anyone needs parts for a period correct resto, or what not I'm going to be selling or trading all the parts I won't be using, including the Andy's arms.

It's completely taken apart now and parts soaking, waiting for me to scrub everything clean.

Here's the before pics:

Looks good. I'd really like to see how you do this. I just got my first RC10 and am trying to make it a runner as well.

After giving myself a reality check and adding up the cost of building it the way I want to I'm not so sure about using this particular car for a modern runner build. The only parts I would be using would be the pan and rear arm mounts. I might just restore this car to period correct and find a 10T as the base for an OIN build.

Not to mention I just opened a track and between working on that and calling races and promoting it, I probably got in over my head a bit. I don't know, still wishy washy about what to do with it.
