New XX owner parts question

Hi
I've just added a XX to my collection mainly of shumachers. couldn't say no at the price it was offered, got a full roller with hydrodrive, another complete rear end with hydro, chassie and some of the front end and a good stash of spares.
what i have got is 8 packets of A-3077 xx retrofit trans upper gear pin idler shaft i've no idea what this is or why someone would have bough so many
i've also got 2 0ff nip motor plates and lots of various toe in rear hubs
