Anytime there is a situation like this there's going to be a little "tension". Due to the fact that rumors start so easily and spread like wildfire I suspect what you heard was just that, rumor. If you look at both Team Associated's website and JConcepts there is no mention of anything nasty between them. I'm sure if there was it wouldn't be public anyhow but I'm sure there might be a little aggravation seeing that Team Associated can churn the B44 out in great numbers. If there was something going on between the two I don't think the B44 would have come out being pretty much a copy of the BJ4WE...

i agree with that. Either jconcepts sold their design willingly or licensed it or whatever to Associated.. or associated just ripped it off completely and stole it..

Im sure associated saw that the bj4 was selling very well and decided to take over the car, improve it slightly, and re-sell it. i mean i myself got rid of my bj4 and going to purchase a b44 since obviously parts will be easier to get and it is a improved car.

i saw nothing mentioned on the rc10b4.com forum where the bj4 companies owners used to frequently visit after associated announced the b44, they just went silent with nothing bad to say, just nothing..

Well Brad Reelfs has gone on record stating that JConcepts knew about the B44 project from the start, they sold the design of the BJ4WE to Associated and that JConcepts developed the changes that are on the B44.

Not something he's likely to say if Associated have screwed them.

Well it looks like it's gone on back order in the US now so it looks like it's a popular choice so us Brits might have an even longer wait :( :( :(

Ok guys, but this guy had talked to Jason (the J in JC), and I don't think he would lie to me.

I reckon if there is hard feelings then they will be shared among the JConcepts team. Either way the B44 will be a strong contender and from what I understand that Jason will still be producing BJ4's and parts......for awhile at least.

The "J in JC", I thought it was Jason Ruona and Brad Reelfs that designed the BJ4. The "JC" I think is just the first part of JConcepts, correct me if I'm wrong.
