I had a JC Finisher Centro shell to paint and went ahead and became inspired by my nearly 30-year-old "pre-painted" shell that I to this day run on my first-run Edinger. I've come around to think that some of these cab-forward bodies are the most realistic looking 1/10 buggy bodies depending on the paint job:

Still waiting for some Santa Cruz stickers to come in the mail and it's ready to roll. The father for reference:
Am I the only person on the planet that thinks these things are hideously ugly? What happened to the traditional style bodies like on the older buggies? I keep hearing people say that the new bodies have a functional purpose as the forward cab aids...

I hated the bodies at first because of appearance... But I can notice a difference in them and if I can, anyone can. Get an older one and a newer one and go to the track and test and you will see...
I also had a small conversation about this very...
Anyone know *why* all the companies went to those horribly ugly car-forward bodies? There's nothing on the chassis that would make that change necessary, and I think they just look terrible. The only thing I can come up with is clean air for the...

That seriously looks like ass. Actually, that looks like a buggy with a rollcage for a diaper.
I’m looking forward to Spring big time for a lot of reasons. Here are a few in no particular order…
1. More bashing
2. More racing
3. I grill year round, but I can only get the big smoker out when it’s warm
4. Golf
5. Softball
6. Playing outside...

Hi all,
I just wanted to share a very simple way that I found to move the battery cups on any RC10 or RC10t without drilling new holes in the chassis: double-sided tape. I use 3m outdoor strength. I saw some people saying that in order to use a...

Lately I've been using a front T2 cup , works good if you don't care about being period correct
This may get me banned, but i wouldn't mind seeing a cab forward body option for the worlds release and re classic. We had the parma eagle, g force body's, back in the day, maybe even a mid cab body like the xxxcr.
I have an old King Cab in perfect working condition. I need to rebody it (or make it a project vehicle) and was wondering if anyone has done anything with one of these? It is just used for driving around the yard.
Thank's Dean

I love the King Cab! It was my first proper Tamiya kit.
The Kingcab body is akin to the Tamiya 959 - rare as hens teeth and they go for big bucks! They were blow molded and not vacuum formed to get the extra detail which made them really weak.
Since I am in a holding pattern for my RC10 Graphite I acquired, I have decided to start thinking about restoring a King Cab that came in the same lot.
I'd like to get it in running condition but shelf queen status is good too.
I think all I need...

Screw it. For the amount of time and outrageous prices I can get a runner for about the same as the parts I need.
Just want to see what you guys think of me trading my 2009 buggy champ used(about 20 packs)for a new built never ran tamiya nissan king cab. Does it seem like a even trade?
