Alright! Now we're getting somewhere 8)

Ok, after looking at that truck a little more closely (ball cups/rear arms) it appears to be a 2nd or 3rd revision of the 7001 (still need to see a little more to be sure- {front and rear arms, caster blocks})
but it has all the parts of a 7001-

also a few of us have kind of "decided" on different "versions" of the same kits (ie- first/early/mid/late edingers) and or the 7001 RC10T etc- they are all the same vehicle though and we're no way trying to knock anything that anyone has or has built- Just flexing our intellectual nerdiness

(BTW you caddy has the wrong rear tower)

Yes that 7001 truck was built up, all new parts. I needed it to fill a gap in my collection. I tried to use correct parts, but some are very hard to find. I have mid rear arms, newer fronts, early ball cups, late tranny brace, in line tub. Was thinking of drilling a rc10 brace to be a early stealth, but I can't bring myself to do it. At any rate I'm posting more pic's on it, I hope it will pass as a 7001!

A few more pics. Sorry about the quality. Hard for me to get zoomed in detail photos but I think you'll get the jist of it.

Ok, so as a 7001 your close 8) the rear arms you have (webbing reinforcing in corners) and that trans brace, plus the B stamp inline (might be too late with the offset hole delete) is close enough for 99% to not notice as "error" (recalling my statement that if you were happy with it that's all that mattered) the biggie is the late front arms (I may have an extra pair of correct NIP arms)

Looks great!!

If willing to sell them, I'm willing to buy them. Just let me know. Would those arms then make it correct.

Ok, so here's where your not going to be happy with me-
The chassis that you have on there could absolutely not be on a 7001 (in production form)....

something kept bugging me about it after I saw it and while I was at work it came to me, no offset holes behind the inline holes. The first trucks had the offset hole chassis, then very shortly after that they made the revised inline holes (by re-drilling chassis for a hole correction, and not countersinking the "deleted" holes) ((look at your gold B)), then the next revision came about a year later with the complete delete of the offset holes, fine and dandy at first glance on yours-

But yours is the chassis from a first run7035 (or packaged AE replacement) chassis. Why? The 6 gear countersink delete in the back- That was only done on the final B-stamps right before the C-stamp switch.

I don't think that this is what you want to hear, but it's correct

If he didn't seem like he genuinely wanted to know, I would never had mentioned it. I tossed the idea back and fourth for a while, honestly.

I see it this way, if you were happy/proud/smitten or whatever with it before you knew, then you can still be 8)

This is why I love this site! Reg, Thanks for the info, believe it or not, that's exactly what I wanted to hear. I knew deep down inside. I'm working on a beer trying to find my way to that chassis, but it only leads me to another beer.
