rear-side body mounts for pan car?

I swear I saw someone recently who had a pan car running rear body mounts that went out the side (low) instead of the top. A little short 90deg. mount. But now I can't find the pic or info. I want to use a mount that style for a weirdo body I have. It wouldn't be too hard to fab something, but I would rather use a standard AE (hopefully white) part.
Anyone know what I'm talking about?? Or am I losing my mind...

There was a body that askBob had listed and it showed a pan car with RC 10 T rear body mounts Bolted to the chassis where the body mounts would usually go and then posts coming off of sticking straight out at a 90° angle

And old set of servo mounts would work quite well there to

hmmm maybe that was it! So the 10T parts are really just a 90deg bracket, and then a shorty body post was screwed to it? I was hoping there was something out there that was one piece.

*edit- I think I found some but they are black. were they offered in white too?

Thanks for the help!

Yes, there did come in white- good luck!

You could use a DS rear body mount, it mounted at a 90* angle and was one piece. Just trim off the nub. There was no white though.

Got some! Rear mounts are installed. I think I might mod a 10T front mount to use on the front too. It will work well with the slope of the Dahms Buggsy body I'm going to run on this car.

And thanks to AskBob for unknowingly giving me the idea to do this! I didn't want to put the posts through the roof of this body.

Mount the 10t mount upside down with spacers may get you the correct angle to mount the body, plus the 10t mounts that go on the brace are way smaller than the stock ones and wont look so bad stickn out the body.Killer job so far,and nice aerodynamic body to use.DON

It's still sitting around looking about the same...
Mounts are done. Body needs some paint and tired trued up. Not that I have a tire machine...
Man I love that goofy Dahms on road body!

I'd like to find a Paragon motor and purple ano hardware for it at some point! Until then, it's sitting on the shelves with the rest of the cars.

oh, and total facepalm- The Dahm's body mentions using 10T rear mounts in it's instructions. What? me read? nah! If they had used a pic instead of text I would have figured it out!

*edit- Just saw your "what did you get in the post today" score. I was looking for a motor like that!

Glad to see you still have it! That VW body is the bomb! I've been trying to find one ever since I saw yours.

We seem to have the same ideas with the purple anno and Paragon goodies. I'm doing that very thing for my Vega funny car project. I'm cutting an RC12E chassis from clear poly and will shoot it translucent purple. Should be an interesting project and hopefully I'll have something to show soon. Still trying to catch up at work but shouldn't be too much longer before I return to building.

Instructions? That's the first thing I throw out.
