due to the way i wanted the body to site nice and low could not use the motor plate. used andys rear swing arms cut into the chassis and the tamiya semi solid front axle. the chrome hillborne stacks were from a company called rcstacks they have some cool items. now wasn't all that concerned with all or any cuts being perfect due to the ratrod look. ratrod #2 will be shown soon but still in the need of one more part. hope u guys like.

Cool! Looks sweet. I have the same body... almost became my bomber body but I couldn't bring myself to hack off the fenders and running board.

Neat. Who makes those rear tires?

Since you've got the trailing arms mounted forward of where they would be on a typical trailing arm chassis you could drill new holes and mount the transmission and rear bulkhead further into the chassis as well...that way you can use a motor plate.

i think they are prolines. ya but than i would have to cut a lot of extra holes and move the bulkhead and the trans than the wheelbase would look off and weird. cause than the dog bones would be too long if i just moved the trans foward, the trailing arms would have to go foward also.

just move the trans and bulkhead ahead, not the arms.

but now the dogbones are on an angle and fit perfect. if i move the trans than they would be straight and not fit due to the lenght.

On a typical trailing arm chassis the dogbones would be swept back not forward because the arms would be further back. The arm mounts would actually be positioned outside the tub chassis.

Another option would be to go mid-motor, but you'd need to fabricate a mount to put the shock tower on top of the transmission case. Something like this. The shocks probably wouldn't work right if you mounted the tower at the rear of the car.

Cool projects.
I used one of those bodies on several cars. But this was my favorite combo:
