Ok guys, I got an original clod a few months back so I could use it as a future build. I would like to repair the body and get it going as a runner for my zilla. This truck was beat to heck and back. Look at the pics and tell me what to do on this please?!?! The cracks are worse than the pictures show. What do you guys do and what do you use?
Thanks guys
P.S. I tried searching here and I couldn't find any info. I could have sworn there was a thread about this somewhere.

Get some liquid glue called plastic weld. It will melt the plastic back together. You can fill in scratchs and gouges with bondo glazing putty.

That or Ambroid or Plastruct plastic weld if you can find it. You might also want to get a tiny glass jar, like whats used for painting models, shave off small pieces of plastic (evergreen, plastruct, ect. can be found at any hobby shop) put them in the glass jar and pour a little plastic weld (Ambroid, Plastruct, or whatever brand you're using) and stir it up until the plastic starts to turn liquidy. You can them use the liquidy plastic to patch holes and fix large cracks. It will harden quickly then you just need to sand it down. I always wet sand my hard plastic bodies too especially before painting. You might also wanna get a small metal file for the rough stuff. Just remember to take your time and don't got nuts sanding, you might sand off the body details if you arent careful.
Good luck

testors model glue will do the same. it melts abs plastic to form a bond. it's got to be the stuff in the metal tube, I think it's a red label now.

Shodog and smokedog Thank you very much for the input. That's exactly what I needed to know.
I just have one more question. Where would I find these products? I will order some extra styrene from tower to add in to the glue.
jwscab- I tried Testors before and it didn't work very well. It wasn't very strong after it was glued together.

Do not use Testors glue in the tube! The other glues mentioned are fine!
