Ok when i first got into rc i bought a little lipo only charger it was ok but didnt have a power supply and was a bit too small to charge my 6s 6200 for my 1/8th scale so i replaced it with a protek 610 it WAS a great charger untill it has gotten to the point that it just dont charge anymore it trys it just dont get anything accomplished it will charge for hours and never even charge a 2s 4200 batt so i guess before i waste anymore money on another junk charger what should i buy? Yo be quite honest im tired of buying chargers and only want to buy one more so whats yalls opinion? Thanks dj

The Orion touch is my favorite in recent years, but I'll never stop using my CE GFX Turbo 35

They're a bit pricey, but my Hyperion has been dropped, frozen, left in a hot car for days, stored in hot humid conditions and just keeps asking for more. I've had it for 4 years. Never any issues at all. They make a lot of different models so it's just a matter of picking one that has the features you need and writing the check.

try the Hyperion Charger, this is the best in the market. Most of World Class racers use this.

I've had some good luck with my iMAX B6... it's decent, plus it was inexpensive.

I recently was in a discussion about chargers & watt output (versus amps), some very good information came my way :)

2C battery (8.4V max) X 5 amps - 42 watts needed
6C battery (25.2V max) X 5 amps - 126 watts needed

most inexpensive chargers are in the 50-100 watt range and can charge a 2C lipo @ 5 amps with no issues, when you start upping the cell count, the lower end chargers really start to suffer.

If you bought the venom pro charger (red one) with the power supply, it is a 150 watt charger, should be able to kick some juice into that 6C battery you have.

guess I should read all of what you typed, 50 watts max - not good for your 6C battery :( less than 2 amps max.

I guess this depends on what you are charging... strictly 2S for 1/10 scale or more than 2s for 1/8 or heli....

Do you currently have a DC power supply, or do you want one with the PS built in (AC/DC)?

And how much do you want to spend?

I had a Hyperion EOS5I and a MaxPro X6 and both were very reliable. I had to lug around my Rivergate PS with me and it got old. Broke down and bought one of Hitecs X4 AC/DC chargers. It has the ability to charge up to 4 packs at a time. I realize the PS in it limits how much current you can charge the larges packs with, but I run strictly 2s in my vehicles, so no biggie. The sheer ease of having all this in one unit proves very convenient. Their X2 is also a nice option.
