Help! Need advice, been bitten by the classic RC10 bug!

Okay, I swear i just signed up here to get advice to update my B3 buggy, but now I feel myself drawn to get a classic RC10  ! Of course I want it to be brushless and race ready! So I think it would be best to try to locate a worlds car or at least a car that already has a stealth transmisson correct? I would need updated arms? Andy's, rpm or dynatech, which is best? Since I have a B3 I think it would be best to use B3 cvd's so I can use the wheels on both? Or would it be better to go the b4 route? Guess im trying to get the best car that will take the least to convert to an updated platform. Your suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,

Ren

all you need is a late model rc10ce, has long arms and a stealth.

You know, it depends what you want and how much you want to spend.
The Championship Edition with a stealth is a good idea and would probably get you to where you want to go , but if you want the dynotech arms I would start with a rc10t. They seem to be cheaper then a rc10 with the Stealth transmission and you have the nose already.

Hmmm, you know I was thinking of the 10t as they are much cheaper. So if I got the 10t I would need to switch to dynatech arms, i assume new turnbuckles and ? Also what is the deal with the 10t nose? I see quite a few with it that have a closed top shock tower which I do not like. So I would also need to replace front and rear shock towers and shocks, will an rc10 body fit or is the 10t set up too long? Please enlighten me :D

Ren

A stealth CE stock . Up grade the trans with bearings and a b4 top shaft and slipper. 3/16 rear axles ( your b3's will work ) for 2.2 rims. Thats really all you need to go brushless and race ready . JKRACING has a post on the CE set up.

Thanks for the advice, I think the CE is the way to go, I think if I went for the 10t I would have to replace too many parts. The hunt begins :D Hey im down for a race especially in your neck of the woods, I have a guy in my group that is home based in San Diego too. Im located in South Florida.

Here is my build, that has taken a pause, but take a look at the bill of materials. It will save you a ton of time when trying to search the forum to see what is needed to bring an old 10 up to speed.

I have to say thanks again, I just scored an RC10 CE with stealth trans that has been built but was never used, the body is unpainted and its coming with two booklets. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
