Well i finally found a gold pan buggy to make a runner it a pretty clean a stamp car... 6 gear trans seems ok all the suspension parts have a redish maroon tint to em... Is there any way to make em white? I have heard peroxide? Will the 6 gear hold up to brushless and lipo? Is there any way to make a lipo fit in the stock battery trays? It has the sideways mounted tray and a hard case will not fit... And i havnt tried on the gold pan but i mnow a hard ase and a soft case will not fit in the hole in the bulkhead on my losi jrx to mount the batt long ways in the chassis.... I have an aluminum steering bellcrank set im going to use and plan on going with all rpm ballcups and lunsford turnbuckles throughout the car and a new set of mip cvd's for the back.... Any other bases i need to touch to make he a reliable runner? Thanks dj

I'm building a 6-gear car for the local track, and upgrading all the electronics for racing. I got some 2S lipos in a hard case, and they barely fit longways. I had to cut the backside of a battery tray, and they'll clear the servo mount by about 1/4". It's REAL tight going in the rear bulkhead, but it sits secure.
As far as any goodies to make it reliable, I think you've covered all the bases. Look for spare parts to keep in your toolbox. Check RJ Speed for a 48pitch spur gear. They drop right in.

Cool thanks man.... Do you think peroxide will turn the nylon parts white again?

I've never tried it. In fact, I resigned to just getting Rit dye and turning everything black. It's much easier in the long run, especially if you're going to run it.

Here's what I'm talking about by cutting the battery cup for hard case Lipos:
