Re: Team Blue Groove
Post Office that handles my mail finally got power back and I received my bodies today.
They're pretty good but certainly not as perfect as the originals. The lexan sheets they use are nice and sturdy but, as gomachv mentioned, there can be a few thin spots. Their equipment is probably meh compared to what the big time manufacturers use so I expect people getting some flaws in the bodies they order is unavoidable.
For example, the lexan in the small deep spots between the exhaust pipes on the AE sprint car body I got is so thin it crackles like a candy wrapper when you touch it, and there's a crease inside the cockpit that looks like the lexan didn't fold right when it was pulled. These flaws are in spots I was already planning to cut out/off so it's not upsetting me any, but if I wanted to use the body as is I would probably ask if I could return it for a better pull.
The "bad" out of the way, I can say that I am very satisfied with the other two bodies I got. Comparing the Protech II to a beat up original I got I can definitely tell the lines aren't as well defined on the copy but honestly I'm not bothered by it one bit. There are no noticeable flaws or thin spots and it's definitely a solid runner body.
All in all I'm feeling good about what I got and will probably order more bodies from TBG in the future. I won't be surprised if I get a flawed body but I also wouldn't be surprised if they made good on it if I asked for an exchange or return. Again they've been easy to deal with so far.
Hope my opinion helps you.

Re: Team Blue Groove
Yes...that is different. The short has no wing area, it falls off behind the rear wheels. Cool!

Re: Team Blue Groove
I've already picked up a TOJ for my 12I! I'm glad you offered those bodies to TBG as this will benefit everyone. I wonder if they would be interested in my Associated Vega Funny Car body? Would like to have a copy so I could actually run one without fear of damaging it. I'll be adding that Jag to my list too. I was so happy to see the TOJ that I didn't even look at the others.gomachv wrote:Bodies are up!
