Welcome to the forum :) Looks like you've got 2 good projects there. It's hard to tell if your Topcat started out life as a Topcat or Cougar as it has the Cougar front end.

Paul.

I think topcat as it came with a topcat shell, and it has topcat on the rear motor cover. Have can I tell for sure?

If there´s scuffs/marks from the inboard shock mounts (laydown) in the chassis, it could be another sign of upgraded Topcat ?

Hi & welcome to the board - looks like you've got a nice pair of Schumachers there to re-build/play with. If you get stuck & need some advice along the way, there will be members here that can help you.

I'm guessing if your Cougar has a TopCat shell & wing then its most likely it started out in life as a TopCat.... so many got converted as the unique lay-down TopCat front end was not 'ideal'

I see both cars have Speedmaster Silverstar speed controllers - these were so popular amongst UK racers in the late 80s beginning of 90s.

Hi,

I have had a bit of a play, and got the procat up and running so I am goung to use that for a bit and upgrade it on the way, as for the topcat I would like to put that back to standard, so its time to get stripping and cleaning and on the parts hunt, first part I have may prove useful lol
P.s does any one know were I can get a new shell and wing??
Thanks Ryan :D

Are we talking about the O-rings/ rubberbands at the crashback front setup?
I guess schumacher´s UK webshop still has them.

I think they are out of stock at Schumacher.

I just use cheap o-rings off eBay. I think the crashback ones are 20x3mm
