Trust me, I've seen radios take tons of abuse at the track over the years. Sometimes I've seen them fly all the way across the track and into the wall.

I remember being about 14 and bridging the trace on a 112b circuit board with strands from some wire and a radio shack 30w iron at the race track so I could keep racing...good times...
