A few years ago we shot a feature length film at The Hobby Stop in Rock Hill, SC. After a much-too-long post production process it is finally finished. The movie is a dramedy about a young man trying to get back to college after taking four years off to run the family business: the Hobby Stop.

A while back I posted some of the props in the film. Much of the comedy elements come from the RC hobbies and model rocketry. The hope is that any kind of distribution of the film would also help give a boost to the industry.

I am very familer with the hobby stop. It is where I bought my first rc kit from. Such a great place.

Looks like a movie many of us would enjoy...look forward to when its available.

Time to show the film at Sundance!! Or even some "cons" like ComicCon or something. Do you have a twitter account set up for the movie? I've been to a few independent film opening nights here and they are pretty cool. The last one I went to was for independent horror movies over in Hollywood. They basically had 6 or 7 films that all had a different red carpet night then they showed the film. Lots of Hollywood types there: Actors, producers, writers, etc. There may be something similar that you can grab on to. Good luck!

I always saw this thread at work where my computer won't play videos, and always forget to go here while at home. Glad I finally remembered! Definitely something I would like to see!

Never saw this thread before. Just watched the trailer, looks funny, and I'll watch just about anything with RC's in it. Looking forward to setting it.
