Kyosho Optima Question

Greetings,
Question for any of you Kyosho gurus.........I picked up this 104T gear some time ago. Make is Paranoia:
My question is, how do I mount this thing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You just take the old spur gear off and bolt it straight on, it even already has the slipper pads glued to it.
BTW the gear is from an Optima Mid, not an Optima.

Very nice. I think the stock spur has 100 teeth, right? So, you'll have to gear slightly different.

Hey richie, that's a laugh!
It's a different pitch, so sure he'll need different pinions too;)
The original pitch spur has 74 teeth, some M-module size.

M-modules are the metric equivalent for the american 'pitch'.
Tamiya and kyosho used these pitches for a long time.
0.5, 0.6 and 0.7M are the different pitches I know of.
While it might not be obvious on sight, you will definitely feel if a pinion matches the spur when you try rolling it along the spur. If it feels gritty instead of smooth, it's no-go.
