Thanks.

GPM?

They might be GPM, I found a set of rears from GPM (they fit the Optima series) that are an almost perfect swap (but are 5mm longer so you'd need the 68mm CVDs instead of the 62.5mm dogbones), but those arms don't look anything like the rears shown above. I haven't been able to find anything specifically for the Lazer in alloy. That doesn't mean to say nothing exists, but it doesn't seem there's anything out there that's intended for the Lazer...so those might've been custom-fit from another application...?

I'd also like to know what those are from. :)

I´ve just held stock lazer arms over the alloy ones, and they match perfectly.
All "angles" and mounting holes are correct - it must be made for the Lazer.
The blue fronts could be GPM - I´ve got a GPM (sold as GM (Graupner)) engine mount for the Kyosho TF Spider, in the same blue colour and machined (rounded) edges.

It also has blue alloy steering spindles and silver alloy rear uprights.

Did PK make a chassis for the lazer - like the one for the MID?

I spent a good amount of time trying to find alloy Lazer arms but got nowhere. That might only mean there's nothing currently being manufactured, but something might've existed before. A link or part number would be awesome because I would use arms like those in a future build.

GPM certainly made Lazer ZX parts - there's a seller on Ebay that has alloy shock towers, and I've read on Oople that they also made a finned motor plate. Tried to find more info earlier today, but it seems the parts date from before GPM's web presence. :( Number start with "KL".

The rear arms could also be GPM, purple was another of their favourite colours...

Possibly...I was referring to control arms, though...in specific, front arms. I've not been able to source front alloy arms for the Lazer or Optima series from any manufacturer. I've searched numerous times...

Doesn't Pargu make alloy arms for the Optima, both the original and the Mid?

I have to say those Lazer arms are rather interesting.

The only other chance is someone had them custom made on a CNC as a one-off but thats probably not all that likely

What I meant is: they were made...in the past. If the manufacturer of these is GPM, we're talking mid to late 1990s probably, when their parts weren't distributed as well as they are now.

Yeah, but I ain't spending $80 for them. I can get rear arms from GPM that work great with minor mods for less than $10 a pair. If I could source some fronts for a similar price, giddy-up. 8)

Considering GPM still make parts for vintage Tamiyas, perhaps if enough of us ask they'll make some new batches of Lazer ZX parts?

Edit: Thinking of shooting them an email to simply ask whether they'd do a limited run of new parts.

So what do we know of?
- alloy arms F&R
- alloy damper stays F&R
- alloy front uprights
- alloy motor plate
- alloy steering bellcranks (see here http://www.radiocontrolzone.com/showpost.php?s=080db9e40b2bd7fee09dbc1326af2bb6&p=1123679&postcount=136)
- delrin spur gears
- hinge pin blocks (???) :?:

I'd be up for a set of arms or two if that helped make them a reality
