Can u dye other colors or do they have to be white? like yellow for example.
Anyone got a good link for the process? is it like when ppl redye their jeans?

I thought I had ordered a new antenna post and cap...but I can't find it...and now i cant find one for sale...I really only need the cap...does anyone know where I can find one? or another solution/alternative ? used to wrap up a rubber band on the ant..then on the post but....not so cool cosmeticly. This would be for my losi Jr. I'll buy a whole new post and cap if there is an alternative somewhere.

I have a set of wheels that have tires on them...and I dont want to ruin the tires trying to take them off.....or the wheels for that matter.....u think maybe taping up the tires and spraying is a better alternative?....or should I still try to go for the dyeing and tire removals. I'm almost sold on spraying them becuz I dont want to ruin the tires.

dyeing is simple, buy RIT dye, get water into a pan (that you will only use for dyeing ever again), if you have an outdoor grill with side burner, head out there (try not to dye in the kitchen, so the wife wont make you die!!)

bring the dye/water up to just below a boil, drop in the parts and check on them every once in a while. the longer in the dye, the deeper/stronger the color.

as for the missing cap on the Losi antenna...use a small piece of fuel tubing slid over the mount/antenna itself, should work just fine.

and yes, you can dye yellow parts as well, colors may not be the greatest, but they work out really well sometimes (these were Losi Yellow wheels):

Thanks JK ! Do u recommend trying to remove the tires? what's best way to help not ruin?

What I meant was the cap at the bottom not at the top of the antenna ...the antenna holder that clips onto the post that's screwed onto the chassis? do u mean to use thin black fuel line like the ones at autoshops over this.? I def did not mean the cap at the top of the antenna pole.

Do you happen to know the correct part number for a front brace that goes in front of the X2 bulkhead? I was thinking of plain black.

Sweet wheels job and truck !! nice match.

Molded chassis brace, A-4047

shoot a picture of what you have for an antenna holder, we will figure out something.

JK it's a stock JRX2 antenna post...but the button or pin down ring that pins that slides over the antenna and clips onto the post is lost. So if I put the antenna on..it will just slid right off....the antenna donut is lost. but the post is still an original jrx2.

Also not that brace the front hinge pins brace....that goes in front of the jrx2 front bulkhead....slips over the stock arms hinge pins.

ahhh, bulkhead/hinge pin brace, that was a trinity part, not a losi part, best bet is ebay, search for the gas truck NXT or GTX, easiest to find the part that way.

okay on the antenna mount, that was the part i had hoped you were missing, the top "clip". if you have a nitro RC car, take a short piece of fuel tubing (maybe 3/8 or 1/2 inch), slide it up the antenna, install the antenna tube, then move the tubing so that it is on both parts, I will try to shoot a picture shortly in the garage, I have one this way already.

its a tight fit, shoot a little wd40 on all the parts, they assemble, it will make your life easier.
