Well I can't wait anymore for the bits for this to get here so I am going to list the pictures I have and thank the members of RC10talk who have contributed so far....

From Tulsa I bought some long RPM rear arms



Tom Stacey has provided a used front end which is the first part to arrive, thanks buddy



templeofspeed is sending me an RPM template for trimming the rear chassis, to, no pics though...

I am bidding on these with daceoli on ebay



I won these lots on the bay for various parts for this build











Thanks to everyone who has helped me out so far, this is going to be quite a board based car when all the bits arrive

There is also a surprise element to this build which I'll let you know about when I get all the bits

I can't wait to move into my house and get my RC stuff out of storage and get going on this build amongst many others...

rustoleum ? i know i spelt that wrong... has a wonderful flourescent pink that perfectly mathces the original pink chassis... its a perfect color match!

Wow thanks for the very nice comments guys I will write more asap when I get building I am just moving into my house at the moment though.

Asa, is the paint you mentioned for touching up the chassis or for making a colour matched shell? Thanks for the tip either way...

Well I couldn't wait any longer for the final bits to arrive and so I started work on this buggy. I have been cleaning the parts from those parts lots (for example the bulkhead and rear arm mounts had glue on them and needed to be soaked in acetone) of the past couple of days and selecting which bits should go to this buggy, for example I found most of a Houge sealed bearing steering set-up and some blue RPM ball ends to go with the rest of the RPM gear. Well after cleaning all the parts I set about doing my first ever dye job (its great to have your own place for this).



I dyed the RPM car's parts first and still had enough oomph in the dye left over to dye some more parts from those lots. A re-dying really helps the black parts to look good again, I was very impressed. I am going to dye the front arms and bulkhead of my $25 beater tonight too, but that's another story.



Once the parts had dryed and the colour set, I assembled the bits and bobs for the front end that Tomstacey had kindly sold me with the addtional RPM ballends, Teflon shocks and some Ti RCPS hinge pins Aconsola sold me nearly a year ago. I dressed the shock tower with some very light grit (I don't know what) wet and dry to remove the edge dirt and scratches from shocks and hardware. Then I reassembled everything.



It looks pretty good if I do say so myself, though I am missing a few bits. The shocks need a rebuild kit as they have no seals inside and also I don't have a set of the largest hinge pins for the front end. The ones that attach the arms to the bulkhead.



I was feeling pretty done in at that point but decided to see what/how the cutting jig/guide fitted to the chassis. Well one thing led to another and as I had the dremel out for polishing ball pins anyway I decided to have a go at modding the chassis.



This is the point of no return the first cut has been made and the old hinge mounting holes have been removed.



I persevered though and my little underpowered dremel did me proud and after a lot of finishing I have got to this point.



Not bad I thought. Then I noticed there were two holes also in the cutting jig/guide. I thought these must be drill guides for new mounting points for the RPM hinges. When I lined up the hinges it appeared I was right but it was also 11:15 and I'd had no dinner (thats dedication right there ) so decided to call it a night! Oh I also noticed my MIP tranny won'd fit so I need to buy an RPM or Stealth Or swap for an MIP anyone?

I could have drilled the holes right then and there but I realised I don't have any idea what countersink I need (I have none to choose from) to finish the new bolt holes.

So things I need to continue this project and I was wondering if any one could help me with;

-Front large hinge pins to attach RPM arms to RC10T bulkhead.
-Shock rebuild kit to suit the Teflon body black topcap shocks I have.
-The degree of counter sink I need to buy to countersink the new chassis holes correctly.
-A matching set of rear shocks (Teflon bodies and black topcaps).
-Some WD40 to remove the chassis protector glue from the chassis.
-RPM transmission from Tower and Stealth internals I think.
-Some wheels would be good too

If anyone can help me with some information or some parts here (I have paypal) then I'd be very grateful.

How come RC10talk doesn't notice that the photobucket pictures are a gagillion sizes smaller than the ones it decides to post?

Why does that chassis only have 5 battery slots?
(Or has my week finally started taking its toll and have I lost all counting capability?)

The holes down the side? I am not sure if that's normal or not...where's Temple when you need him...

I think Mr Ed is talking about the graphite chassis?

Oh. Mr ED I bought the RPM arms off Tulsa (that was his pic) that is his chassis (I believe sold) so you may have to ask him.

the 6th cell will be in the rear bulkhead.

Looking sharp there Doc. You sure know how to breathe life back into some parts. I am going to have to do the double dip method on some stuff.

i have a pair of very close to new rpm front steering enhancement kit i dyed black and would complete your ride. i was gonna ebay. I will post a picture soon if you have interest.
