Hey guys I just joined a few weeks ago, and I have to say im hooked on this site. My first car I got in 92 was JRX-2. I ran that thang non stop. My first race was in Wilmington NC. My uncle who at the time run asphalt oval there got a LXT when they first came out. He saw the people haveing so much fun on the off road track in the middle of the oval. He ran the first heat and said that was not for him. He let me run it the rest of the day. I made a bet with him that I could TQ and win. If I did I got the truck. Well I was the new owner of a one race old LXT. I raced every weekend pretty much while I was in high school. I had alot of fun. The track I ran at in Raleigh closed up and I had to start running in Greensboro. After they closed there was not a close place to race. I went with my uncle to King R/C to the indoor carpet oval and was amazed. I had been a hunderd times with my uncle to the big asphault tracks and I had no desire to race like that. I begged my uncle to let me try his car after the night of racing and I was hooked. I bought me Hyperdrive STX and I was a carpet oval racer. I still run pan cars on the oval but I'll have to admit that my first love was off road.

Here is my LXT torn down ready for the weekend rebuild and clean up.

Stay tuned.

Nice for you to have the original car from BITD, bet you are glad you kept it. Get it on the shelf and forever look at it with all those memories of yesteryear!

TBG is probably your best option. Original LXT bodies are kind of rare (at least when I was looking for one myself a few years back already and then last year). Your car is looking good, the key to LXT durability is that the rear braces between the chassis and the shock tower are solid!

Will you run it?

Hey everyone just a mini update. The truck is pretty much done. I have the stock wheels and tires to clean up and thats it. I'm still having trouble locating a body for it. I want the stock body but I have not found any yet. Does anyone know if the GTX or NXT body will fit? Also are the cooling (vent) holes already cut out on those two bodies? The truck is built down to the t by the manual. I've got the stock lexan and the RPM gear cover I'm just not sure which one to use...

IF my memory serves me correctly, the rear shock tower 'bubbles' are in the wrong place on the GTX/NXT bodies.

Looks great! I have a NIP shell, but I also had another one floating around Europe/UK somewhere on its way to a new owner- let me verify he received it and I might have this one avail......but, It means you might have to come by Greensboro and pick it up....and smack Brad Allen in the face too

Love the 'hard body' stickers on the shocks :-)

Great rebuild, well done.

looks great, my very first official rc was also a losi lxt. Later on I opted for a xxt sport i think it was called and pulled all the bearings and shocks and whatnot off the lxt to upgrade the xxt. I too still have the lxt and the xxt....to think of it I don't think I have sold ANY of my cars over the years
