Got a nifty never been run 12is on the bay. It had the front dyed a really light black, so I decided to dye the rest. No going back now. The graphite strip was screwed and glued at a slight angle, peeled it off and removed the glue. The screws were redrilled correctly and countersunk. Not a fan of screwing the stiffener down but it was already done. The TOJ body is on the way and it will be a full shelf queen at that point.

Here is the 12i with mid era chassis. Missing a few pieces, like the ride height adjuster, stiffener, and front posts. They are on the way tho!

Too bad it was dyed, but nice recovery! At least it wasn't dyed pink... Not historically incorrect, either. No rear ride height adjuster? Seems to have the chassis for it...just not the top pod plate.

Note to self: finish some 1/12 projects... I have two i/M cars in the collection.

I thought that was odd as well. I have one that will go on it and a drilled upper plate. If things go well I have a use for the non ride height adjusted upper plate 8)

just needs a small hole drilled on the back of the rear pod top and then it is the same as the ones that have the hole. Seems like all the new ones I have don't have the hole drilled.

I just have a thing for parts that are undrilled to later spec :D makes it look "proper". Except in a case like this where it should have the right hole there.

I think it looks sweet with the black suspension parts. Your car inspired me to go after the 12i I just won.

Cheers,
Don

same here. love the black. I am fond of dyed parts though. They just make the look so much better on some cars. really depends on the look your going for. all white has its place too.

Updated with 12i. Not as fond of this one in black but the parts were just too stained
